Australia secured top spot in the women’s pool with a commanding 5–0 victory over New Zealand, completing a flawless group stage campaign. Despite the defeat, New Zealand also confirmed their place in the Semi-Finals and will face Australia again later in the day.
It took Australia some time to break through a disciplined New Zealand defence, but once Samantha Economos opened the scoring the momentum shifted quickly. Kaitlyn Lee doubled the lead soon after, giving Australia a 2–0 advantage at halftime.

The match exploded into life in the second quarter as Aiden Dooley struck twice, followed by goals from Staines and Jett Leong. Pat Harris briefly levelled for the Americans before Australia took control.
Willem Pouw pulled one back for the USA, but Australia continued to stretch the lead through Tim Deavin and Ryan Pace.
